I’m Matt, short for Matthew, meaning “gift of God” or “gift of Yahweh.” My roots trace back to the Moluccan Islands, but I was born in the Netherlands. Above all, I consider myself truly blessed with faith, loving parents, two wonderful sisters, a caring family and cherished friends.

A Journey of Faith and Purpose
In 2023, guided by God and strengthened by faith, I founded Faith on Cotton, a brand dedicated to Christian apparel that reflects faith, hope, and purpose. From the start, my goal has been clear: to create meaningful Christian T-shirts, hoodies, crewnecks, and sweatshirts that inspire believers to express their faith through fashion.
With the knowledge and creativity God has given me, I design unique, high-quality prints that spread the message of faith, love, and perseverance.
The Mission: Faith in Action
More than just a Christian clothing brand, Faith on Cotton exists to serve and uplift those in need. The mission is to provide free clothing to underprivileged people and children worldwide. Through every purchase, I trust that God will guide me and bring the right people to support this mission.
A Faith-Driven Vision
I align my vision with the words of Luke 12:31-33:
“Instead, always think about the things that are important in the kingdom of God. Then God will also give you the things that you need each day. (32) You are only a small group of people, but do not be afraid. Your Father God has given His kingdom to you. He is happy to do that. (33) So sell what you have and give the money to poor people. Then you will have valuable things in heaven…”
In other words, my faith drives me to serve others, live with purpose, and focus on what truly matters.

Faith on Cotton is more than just Christian T-shirts and hoodies—it’s about sharing God’s word through fashion. Each product is designed to help believers express their faith boldly while wearing high-quality, ethically made Christian clothing.
Mission Statement
“With God and by faith, anything is possible. And by faith, I will find it!” – Mattheüs
Because by faith, I will receive everything I need to fulfill my mission. A Foundation in Scripture Hebrews 11:3:
“By faith, we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.”
This verse perfectly reflects my belief that faith unlocks limitless possibilities.

Faith is more than just a word—it represents a deep and powerful connection to God. It signifies:
- Belief in God
- A relationship with Jesus Christ, the Son of God
- The power of the Holy Spirit
Faith on Cotton exists to spread faith-based messages through Christian fashion, allowing believers to express their love for God in everyday life.
The town of Apeldoorn
Faith on Cotton is based in Apeldoorn, The Netherlands. Apeldoorn is a small town 55 miles from Amsterdam. While there isn’t a physical store yet, I welcome anyone who wants to connect, share a faithful conversation, or enjoy a cup of coffee. If you’re nearby, feel free to reach out!

Through Faith on Cotton, I am committed to spreading faith, hope, and kindness—one piece of Christian clothing at a time. I trust that God will continue to open doors and provide everything necessary to fulfill this mission.

Timeline
Founded in 2023
In 2023, I sought the Lord and felt called to start Faith on Cotton as a mission-driven brand. The vision was clear: to build a business that helps support children in need here in the Netherlands.
With the knowledge and experience God had entrusted to me, I developed a business model and long-term plan designed to benefit everyone involved — God, the children, our customers, the brand, and myself.
First customers in 2024
In 2024, Faith on Cotton reached its first customers, with orders shipped to Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and the Netherlands.
Although the vision and planning were solid, we quickly learned that dropshipping was not the right path for us. Despite working with seemingly trustworthy partners, the year was filled with delays, frustrations, and operational challenges.
Through prayer and discernment, I realized that this was not the foundation God intended for the brand.
A new direction in 2025: independence and craftsmanship
In the summer of 2025, I made the decision — together with God — to fully step away from dropshipping due to its ongoing issues. At the same time, I began building a new online store from scratch alongside the existing platform, focused on quality, control, and sustainability.
At the start of 2025, the new website was launched with a fresh vision: partly stocked products, partly made-to-order, and a strong focus on self-sufficiency.
By the end of March 2025, God provided exactly what was needed. I ended the partnership with the dropshipper and partnered with Sustainable Clothing Shop in Leiden, supplying 100% cotton blank garments from Stanley/Stella. For high-quality DTF transfers, I partnered with Transferbaas in Schiedam.
With the addition of a USA-made heat press from SignWarehouse in Amsterdam, I am now able to press each design in-house — ensuring quality, care, and consistency in every product.
New designs and products in 2026
After an intense period of care and support for my parents and sisters during December and January, God once again made a way. In early 2026, I was able to launch new designs and products — each created with renewed faith, gratitude, and purpose.
The 2026 releases include:
- The Lion of Judah v2 — hoodies and sweatshirts
- God Is Good, All the Time — hoodies and sweatshirts
- Faith beanie
- I Trust in God — hoodies and sweatshirts
These designs reflect perseverance, trust in God, and the unchanging truth that faith remains our foundation in every season.
